Well Eagles fans....the plague of injuries keeps coming now with wide receiver Arrelious Benn out for the season. This is getting to be too much for the Eagles to stay put with what they have. Yes they still have Desean and Cooper on the outside with Avant in the slot but after that, there isn't much to choose from. Damaris Johnson will be a big piece but that is where it ends. Russell Sheppard and Ifeanyi Momah need to play well in the preseason for us to get a sense of what they can do so maybe it is time for a FA WR to come in. Not a lot of the receivers fit the scheme but a veteran that could help blocking wise and could add some things that Maclin did is Brandon Lloyd. He has deep threat ability also with good speed and size so he can be very useful in blocking. Benn is one of the guys I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do after the Eagles traded for him from Tampa Bay. This is a huge loss and honestly I think this pushes the fact that we are going to be using 3 tight ends even more. By the way this shows now Cooper is a lock to stay on the team granite the circumstanes.
Here is my predicted depth chart for WR post Benn injury.
1. Desean Jackson
2. Riley Cooper
3. Jason Avant
4. Damaris Johnson
5. Russell Sheppard
*6. Ifeanyi Momah
